Vine, the video sharing app beloved by teenagers, has become the medium of choice when it comes to sharing content on Twitter. Sorry Instagram. Topsy is reporting that Vine has surpassed Instagram in its total daily shares on Twitter, and just days after the app was made available on Android.
"While Instagram's numbers have been fairly flat over the
past month, Vine has continued grow—and there's a good chance that
opening the app up to another large segment of the market had an impact
on that," The Verge reports.
It should be noted that Vine is owned by Twitter and its
integration into the microblogging platform is much more compliant than
Instragram's. Remember when Twitter removed the easy share feature of
Instagram photos on timelines? We're pretty sure that has a lot to do
with it.
