Jay-Z keeps finding new ways to make history. The cover art of his 12th album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, will
be on display at the Salisbury Cathedral in England, alongside one of
the four surviving original 1215 Magna Carta documents. He made the
announcement on his website, lifeandtimes.com, which has several photos
from the exhibit that runs through the end of July.
This comes on
the heels of news that the album will be certified platinum by the
Recording Industry Association of America based on the release deal with
Samsung to make it available for free to 1 million Samsung users who
downloaded the Magna Carta app. They can download the album at 12:01
a.m. ET Thursday. The album goes on sale July 9.
